- bias towards my favorite authors leads me to place their books in the shelf that's most visible to my eye-level, thus messing with the overall organization of the books by subject
- when an author has mostly paperback books but one hardcover and the hardcover is too big to fit on the designated shelf with its paperbacks
- to piggy back of the previous point - a whole shelf that has miscellaneous hardcovers because they wouldn't fit elsewhere, causing the stress of finding some sort of organization for hardcovers of various subjects
- finding DOUBLES - this is the most heartbreaking. can't even keep track of my own book collection. although this only happened for one book (Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen) unfortunately I don't think it is very good, so buying it twice wasn't even worth it
